Slacking Off

We're back in LA now, and we totally slacked off with the blog once we went to stay at Cath's place, mainly because we were having too much fun and were being too sleepy to remember what said 'fun' was by the time we got to writing about it. But now we're back, in POG form.

Where were we now... oh, yes, New York...

Here it is in all it's Twilight blue-filter glory

Last time I went to New York I saw the Statue of Liberty from the free Staten Island Ferry and it was small. I was sad, because I wanted it to be Cloverfield-poster-f***-off-huge and I was too far away to bask in it's huge-ness. So this time we took the boat over to the statue (and then to Ellis Island, also good).

It was indeed large. Also, very windy and cold.

We walked home via Wall Street, made some Michael Douglas jokes, Colin took some photos of Wall Street Fat-Cats.

"I sold it off, made a cooool mil."

We were staying with lovely Cath on the border of Harlem which was cool. So far we'd stayed in Brooklyn, Lower East Side and Chinatown. The good thing about Harlem is it's where the Royal Tenenbaums live!

Colin almost had a hipster seizure, like that time Martin went to Mornington Crescent.

After loitering around the house for a while, we went downtown to get lunch and eat it in central park. It was still cold which meant it was a good time for Soup Nazi (and then more Macarons from Bouchon).

The bottom picture is dedicated to Martin.

More adventures later!

  2. We had the Lobster Bisque and the Jambalaya. Both were great! And came with free bread and fruit!
