Lazin'

TV On The Radio, one of the numerous things that happened while I've been too lazy to post.

Hello once again. I realise I've been slacking off with the blog, but with all the Visa/work/visiting friends/shenanigans happening... actually, I've been spending a lot of time just laying around streaming Garth Merenghi's DARK PLACE and drinking Dr Pepper.

I used to think "DOCTOR Pepper? Who would get a medical degree only to make soft drink?" (albeit it does taste like medicine), but since living in LA I've discovered there are many reasons to become a doctor. The main one seems to be 'to sell medicinal marijuana'.

But I digress.

That's a sushi party on my plate, unfortunately they only invited one Lazy Salmon.

Clare and Simon were here from sunny London towne, they let us stay in their palatial mansion with them for the week. It was amazing. When it was over I hated my room and everything in it for being so small.

ET on the car trip back. This was one time he didn't want to go home.

We've been doing some filmmaking of our own while we're here too. Colin is working on a Russian Mini-Series at the moment, so it makes sense that after a 12-14 hour day he'd want to come home and make more movies. But the kid loves it. Kind of like how I would come home from Evil Farm and pretend to sell ciggies and lotto tickets to old pedophiles... not.

The kid loves the pictures.

Clare had a list of places to eat, which was more than welcome as we had been having some trouble finding the good stuff. Here we are at The Griddle Cafe, where a large Pumpkin Pancake is about to devour Clare.

This is not a breakfast. This is a desert. Or possibly several deserts. Or the last meal request of a soulless man.

Red Velvet pancakes? Again, this is a desert, people.

"Please, don't photograph my shame"

The Pancake defeats Colin.

"Let's never speak of this again".

Then home, to make more moofies.

Also on the list was Mozza Pizza Cafe, which was just freaking great. I wish I could eat all of the Pizzas.

Salted Caramel Ice cream with Salty peanuts and Marshmallow cream.

Butterscotch win.

It took a while, but I am now officially in love with this city. It is more of a Betty than a Veronica, it's not my type at all, but-like an Ashton Kutcher romantic comedy-we have become an unlikely match. Only the city might be Ashton and I'm like Walter Matthau or something.

Later doodz

  1. Why don't you take all the photos of all the food you have consumed and create your own gourmet's guide to Hollywood. It could a 'budget' type of deal, no swanky restaurants, just a 'poorbes patisserie'. I think it's a goer and you can charge a fee for the guide. It utilizes all your passions, writing, eating and photography. OK think about it.
